| INDINGILIZI GALLERY was
established in 1982, in response to a need for an active, commercial gallery in Swaziland. The Gallery has earned a reputation for excellence and for being a reliable source of contemporary art and collectables for Swaziland and elsewhere in Africa. Artwork and selected crafts are available for export. Please contact us at any of the above addresses. Energetic Dori Angus-Verhoog, the owner, seeks to convert everyone to the beauty of African art for which she herself has great passion. She travels widely to keep her gallery supplied with the best of her finds. Exhibitions are held regularly, featuring the work of contemporary local artists and the best of available crafts also from elsewhere in Africa. Original sculptures, paintings, quality batiks, mohair, ethnic jewellery, ethnic pottery - too much to mention are tastefully displayed , with information readily available. Even the adjoining Courtyard restaurant is unique, featuring exotic African dishes from Cape to Cairo, served by friendly staff. Pleasantly decorated with large murals by Lucas Mlambo and a water fountain, the venue is a unique oasis. Assisting in both the gallery and restaurant is daughter Sonja, after spending almost two years on Zanzibar, Tanzania. Sonja shares her mother's passion for good food and the best African arts and crafts. We invite you to contact us or, even better, for a personal visit ! |
