Outline

Mananga College was established in 1999 on the beautiful campus of the former Mananga Management Centre near Mhlume in North Eastern Swaziland. It has already established an enviable reputation as a home-from-home, where students receive genuine individual attention.

We follow the curriculum of the Independent Examination Board, whose Senior Certificate (‘Matric’) will open doors to the University of Swaziland, all South African and many overseas universities. A continuous Academic Support Programme ensures the best results possible. Although the emphasis is on academics, all students participate in an intensive sport and cultural programme and the completion of new, more extensive sports fields, have added a new dimension to this aspect of College life.

auditoriumMananga College is situated in the rich, natural environment of Swaziland’s lowveld, which serves as an excellent outdoor classroom.

Plans are afoot to involve every student in leadership programmes and to allow them to play a significant role in the overall development of the Komati River Basin.

Bridging Programme

Foreign children, who are graduating from primary school in June 2001, are encouraged to join the Bridging Programme at Mananga College, which will operate from July until early December 2001. The programme is an intensive course in English, which is designed to prepare each student to enter the mainstream in Grade 8 in January 2002. This will give all primary school students the opportunity to learn English and to then benefit from the excellent education that is offered by the College.

Grades 8, 9 and 10

Students who have a good command of English, and who wish to enter either Grade 8, 9 or 10 in 2001, will be given placement tests in order to ensure that they are able to cope with the very high standards demanded by the school.
