Long term cases: institutional life is not forever and the Kennels cannot afford to keep animals indefinitely. If you are thinking about pet ownership, please consider these animals first - they really deserve a home.

Sponsorship: help a specific animal whose background and progress you can monitor, or contribute to a specific program (eg. sterilization, vaccination, etc).

  • become a member (see Membership)
  • remember SAWS in your will
  • donation in kind or time
  • motivate pet education and awareness
  • share with committe members a roster of weekend duties (+-3 times per year). Spend Saturday and Sunday mornings at the Kennels to check on all animals, call a vet if needed and attend to any emergencies which may arise
  • don't throw away clean, clear glass! Deposit in the drums near the SAWS gate. SAWS gets a small income from Ngwenya Glass for your old glass.
