It is all inside you.
How to make the best of one’s life is a question that perhaps everyone has to deal with. Answers will vary according to one’s circumstances. A good approach would be to start by sorting out four related issues, two about your inner self and the other two about the external environment around you.

Foundation.
As most of humankind is ever increasingly marginalised in a manner our means do not justify, dehumanisation and hopelessness are the lot of our people, and the Lord would like us as his happy friends, we would now like

You know Lord how singlehanded.

You know Lord how singlehanded
I would go out to conquer the universe
That you may reign over all hearts

Dignity.
Doesn’t the sight of a dehumanised, deprived person make us ashamed to be human? People who feel good about themselves stand a chance of being happy, if they don’t become arrogant, inconsiderate and quickly degenerate. A truly free and dignified personality is really necessary. It is nourished by communities, by goodwill towards all people. In our times in Africa, the quest for happiness is not just for the individual but for a people, to free the whole world from a haunting discomfort.

Millennium ended.
The millennium ended not with the bang we all desperately attempted but a whimper, everyone embarrassed to be human, asking deep questions.
