RAY BERMAN - PAINTER & SCULPTOR.
| Has a particular affinity for the
culture and traditions of Africa and its people. The 30 years that he has spent as a
working artist in Swaziland, have influenced him deeply. He paints in oils and acrylics and sometimes sculpts. He is not a prolific artist. AVAILABLE: We have SIX different LIMITED EDITION , signed and numbered LITHOGRAPHS available. PERSONAL DETAILS: Born in 1941 in Johannesburg, South Africa. Permanent Residence in Swaziland since 1966. He received four awards for paintings during the period 1960 to 1962 and in 1969 received the Price of the City of Salzburg for his painting "Nkambule Africa" which was purchased for the collection of the Salzburg School of Architecture. He created a sculptural fountain for His Majesty, the late King Sobhuza III at Embo House, Lobamba. The King also purchased a painting titled "Cattle in the Rain" for the Royal private collection. In 1978 he did a Sculptural Group for the entrance to Lozita Royal Residence. COLLECTIONS: His work is held in private collections in: Republic of South Africa, Swaziland, Israel, Australia, Germany, America and Switzerland.
