NGULUBE MOUNTAIN
BIKE CLASSIC Nedbank Swaziland's Ngulube Mountain Bike Classic is being organised for the third consecutive year and promises to be even better than last year! Situated in the scenic Ezulwini Valley where highveld meets middleveld, Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary offers challenging riding for all who enter the Ngulube Classic 2002, whether riding the Classic, (for those with experience), the Challenge, (for those keen for some hard exercise), or the Family Fun Cycle. All participants will weave through the Sanctuary's forests, streams and open grasslands between an array of game, including zebra, impala, wildebeest, nyala, ostrich and blesbuck. Flanking these plains in the north looms the infamous Nyonyane Mountain, otherwise known as Execution Rock, which promises to "separate the boys from the men" in both the Ngulube Classic and the Challenge. The riders' sweat and struggle will be egged on by the bark of baboons and perhaps the motivational sounds of a hippo giving chase under the watchful eye of the black eagle! Back in the Rest Camp, families can relax in the Hippo Haunt Restaurant, follow the hiking trails or arrange to go horse riding, amongst many of the activities found at Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary. A variety of accommodation is available on Mlilwane including Beehive Huts, Rest Camp Huts, Log Cabins, Khululeka Group Lodge, Sondzela Backpackers, camping or Reilly's Rock Hilltop Lodge. For those preferring accommodation of a more urbane style, the Ezulwini Valley has a lot to offer.
